Victorian Sterling Silver Double Sovereign Case
Assay London Birmingham (circa 1832 ). This Exceptional Oval double sovereign case is beautifully engraved with a foliate and scroll design. The Cartouche is clear of engraving. Interior bright and both spring chambers function well. Full hallmarks. Original large jump ring attached for attaching to a watch fob chain or chatelaine. Closes securely with a sprung hinged lid. This specific case is designed to hold a full- and half sovereign.
