Victorian Gold Ring with Diamond & Seed Pearls
Victorian 18K Yellow Gold Diamond & Seed pearl Ring, (circa 1890). This beautiful Victorian Mimento Mori little ring is hand crafted into the meaningful symbol of a Black Pansy flower- Black enameling on each of the six floral petals is intricately border engraved- a central small old Rose cut Diamond is surrounded by 6x little seed pearls, forming the florets of the flower. This little ring would have had a small lock of a loved one’s hair pinned beneath crystal glass. Common in Victorian jewellery the ring has no hallmarks or stamps, but tests as 18K gold.
