Victorian Gold Pendant with Rubies
Victorian Antique 9K Yellow Gold Heart shaped Locket pendant with Ruby Southern cross motif and unusual hand made 9K Yellow Gold chain featuring a Large Victorian bolt ring closure- (circa 1880-1920). What a romantic keepsake treasure, even more special as this locket has retained it’s original handmade chain! The pendant has a clear crisp front cover panel, and is engraved with the Southern Cross motif- a Celestial symbol in Victorian jewellery, and a talisman guiding the way- a connection to the Universe beyond! Five (5) Small Rose cut Rubies (total 0.15ct), are set in a Starburst pattern, marking the compass points of the Southern cross. It opens up for a placing of 2 photos, no glass present. Interior shows expected age wear, locket closure is perfectly aligned and secure. Back panel shows a few very minor little age related dents and scuffs.
