Victorian Antique 9K Yellow Gold Gate Leg Bracelet (circa 1900). A beautiful 5-Bar Gate Leg bracelet with gorgeous floral engraved detail on the mid bars. A large generous 9K Yellow Gold heart shaped padlock clasp secures the bracelet with it’s original safety chain. These beautiful bracelets were designed to mimic the gated fences of Victorian homes, and symbolise fidelity and love for a woman’s husband or lover. Also referred to as “Day & Night” bracelets, the ornate side to be lavishly displayed at evening occasions, or interchangeable to a more subdued form for the day. A very wearable item of luxury.
