Mexican Silver Neckpiece
This gorgeous vintage artisanal Silver neck piece was manufactured by the desirable TAXCO Silver studios, circa 1970. Founded by William Spratling in 1940 in the Taxco silver mining district, it famously became home to the iconic Margot de Taxco studios as well. This necklace features a courting pair of doves, perched upon an “Evil Eye”, a Mexican symbol of protection. Gemset with 2 cabochon Amethysts in the centre, and ornately decorated with bezel set turquoise and coral. Twisted silver wirework and flourished connectors end in a large secure shovel clasp. Hallmarked- TP-102 Mexico Sterling Silver.
