Assay London Birmingham (c1974). ***Richard Maiella crafted the first snowflake in 1970 for Gorham Manufacturing Company, hoping they would fetch USD10… he could not have predicted the public’s wild enthusiasm for his creation! Originally packaged in a box with velvet pouch and red ribbon, this sparkling tree ornament was designed to reflect all the Christmas magic! Pure opulence! The collection expanded, each craftsman annually designing an ornate 6 pointed star – no one ever alike! Collecting these snowflakes has become a thoughtful tradition to pass down to future generations!
