Edwardian Gold Pendant with Ruby
Edwardian 9K Yellow Gold & Rubies Photo Locket Pendant. (circa 1918). Assay Chester with full Hallmarks and Makers Mark “WJP”. Stamped “375” accordingly. The beautiful solid gold bezel frame is ornately decorated with a “Forget-me-Not” gold floral wreath. The small gold flowers a gorgeous matt finish, each with a gold pearl centre. Two small Rose cut Rubies sit atop the crown of the pendant, leading to the ball screw top finial end gold bail. The bottom of the frame has 3 suspended gold mourning tassels joined by the finest handmade gold chain. Please note due to age we have NOT forced this to open! This sentimental pendant has its original domed glass at both ends, and holds a sepia portrait of a pretty young woman. The back of the pendant features its original emerald green embossed silk liner- too gorgeous!
