An ornately designed Dutch Victorian brooch in 14K Gold featuring a central floral design with 5 round rose cut Garnets- surrounded by 7 old rose cut pear shaped garnets- fine filigree scroll work cut-outs mounted on further scrolling elements give this brooch a raised presence. Set on a hollow gold square boxed backing with original Victorian post and safety chain. Hallmarked Assay Antwerp Netherlands circa 1852.
