Art Deco Regimental Royal Artillery Brooch – (circa 1920) – A wonderful tribute, this sparkling sweetheart brooch is set with wonderful mixed Old cut Diamonds & mixed cut Rubies & white Topaz in 18K & 9K Gold. Designed for the Royal Grenadiers, the most Senior Infantry regiment of the British Army, being the Infantry Order of Excellence, these Sweetheart brooches were given to Mothers, Wives and Girlfriends by Servicemen as mementos. Inscribed with the motto “UBIQUE” (meaning ‘everywhere’), they were worn to show National pride in having a loved one serving his country. This magnificent brooch has the motto in blue Guilloche, the 10 Flames finely gemset on the figural grenade. It is crafted open to the reverse with a strong pin.
