19th Century Tiger’s Claw & Ruby Pendant
This Collector’s Antique Tiger’s Claw Pendant is a historic reminder of the British Raj period- the British Colonisation of India gave rise to pendants and brooches such as these being fashioned in the Georgian and Victorian eras. Lion and Tiger claws were collected as wearable trophies of ornament after popular elite hunting trips, often on the back of Indian Elephants. This wonderful claw honours the Beast it once belonged to- capped in glowing 9K Rose gold with a crest and filigree design, set with 3 small round Rubies. Bought as a brooch, we sealed this beautiful claw against further damage and converted it to a more wearable Pendant.
